Kohan Reflection Garden, New Denver
A beautiful Japanese-style garden on the lake, near the Health Centre in New Denver. You’ll see a profusion of exotic species, quiet pools, a dry grass garden and breathtaking views of Slocan Lake and the Valhalla Mountains. Some couples exchange vows under the natural confetti of blossoms in the cherry grove.

This traditional Japanese garden at the Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre was designed by a master gardener and former internee.

Mon.–Sat. 10 am–3 pm June through August for art shows, occasional use in winter for other events. The HGG is a small multi-use arts venue that hosts art shows each summer, small musical concerts, and various events fall through spring including weekly video club gatherings. The gallery sponsors Food for Thought lectures about the arts, philosophy, literature and much else, as well as outreach activities with the school and community. The gallery is wheelchair accessible, though the garden is not.

Silverton Gallery hosts art shows, workshops, concerts and much else, all brought to you by volunteers. Its professional lighting and sound system make it a popular rental for concerts and theatre productions. The lawn is an outdoor museum for old mining equipment.
