New Denver Nursery School
New Denver Nursery School is a volunteer board-run, licensed preschool that offers its services to families with children aged 30 months – 5 years in the New Denver area. Under the guidance of a qualified and experience Early Childhood Educator, children participate in a fun-filled group-learning setting that will help them prepare for kindergarten. The preschool classroom is located in Lucerne Elementary Secondary School (LESS), and preschool instructors work with LESS staff to create a smooth transition into the public school system. In addition to an outdoor preschool playground, the preschool has access to LESS facilities including the library, gym, garden, greenhouse, gazebo, tennis (or tricycle) courts, and sports fields.
New Denver Nursery School educators focus on the individual needs of a child while creating a group dynamic that is positive and supportive for all children. Language, social skills, sharing, cultural experience and artistic, creative and physical activity are all promoted and explored both in the outdoor and indoor settings of the preschool. Your child will experience the best of the community: guest experts visit the class, and the group takes frequent field trips to some of the delights of our community.
The program operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The cost is $105/month for one day per week or $210/month for two days per week. Drop-in participation is offered at a cost of $36/day. Need based financial assistance is available.
